Now it's come alive again, filled with crafts folk, a gang of rip-snortin', pistol-packin' hombres and offering a passel of rousing, Western style adventures.
Knott's Ghost Town is a picturesque, living tribute to the Old West. Its many historic buildings and artifacts help transport you back over 100 years when the West was a wild and woolly place indeed.

Experience the unforgiving timber in GhostRider®, careen in a hollowed out log through the darkness of a twisting waterway, ride an open ore car deep within the caverns of an old mountain mine, or travel on Knott's authentic 1800s steam train and stagecoach lines.

GhostRider®

Looming 118 feet over historic Ghost Town, GhostRider is the single-largest attraction in park history and one of the longest and tallest wooden roller coasters in the world. Brave riders enter a mysterious mine, only to be strapped into gold, silver and copper mining cars and sent along 4,533 feet of twisting, unforgiving timber. Highlights of this massive themed white-knuckler include a dramatic, 108-foot initial banked drop, 13 additional drops, sudden dips, banked turns and maximum G-forces of 3.14!

Timber Mountain Log Ride

Careen through the darkness of a twisting 2,100-foot waterway at speeds of 8 - 12 feet per second and plummet down a furious flume propelled by 24,000 gallons of water at your back.
 
 
 

Ghost Town Calico Railroad

Despite years of bandit hold-ups, one of the last year round operating narrow gauge railroads still departs daily from Ghost Town Station for a round-trip tour of the Park.
