If you’ve visited the park recently, you may have seen construction crews working on the area near the entrance to Camp Snoopy. Construction is well underway to renovate the land of high sierra fun and today’s update will take you behind the scenes of what’s changing now and where the construction walls will move next!

Woodstock’s Air Mail is currently closed to guests and is scheduled to re-open soon. When it does, the queue will have moved to the right side of the attraction, closer to the Camp Store. The new queue location will allow improved access to the Camp Snoopy Theater.

After work is done in front of Air Mail and the Camp Store, construction will move north, and the Camp Snoopy Theater and Red Baron airplane attraction will temporarily close. Knott’s is excited to announce that as part of the Camp Snoopy construction project, a new shade structure will be installed over the Camp Snoopy Theater audience seating area! Watching the Peanut’s gang live on stage has long been the highlight of many families’ trips to Camp Snoopy, and now, under the shade of the new structure, shows will be more enjoyable than ever. The theater will reopen in the Spring, and Knott’s will share exciting news about upcoming shows very soon.

Next to the Camp Snoopy Theater is the Red Baron attraction, where budding pilots board two-seater airplanes and take to the skies. Red Barron will also close temporarily while the adjacent midways are repaved, and will reopen soon as Flying Ace! In the meantime, guests looking for high flying fun in the skies above Camp Snoopy can check out Balloon Race, located just a short hike from Red Barron.

Several big announcements are slated for the coming weeks, so keep checking the Camp Snoopy Construction Blog and follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

See you at Camp!
