The primary responsibility of a Traffic Control Associate is to assist the guest in safely and legally parking their car. This position is responsible for cleaning the amusement park midways, parking lots, rides and offices after park closing. To accomplish the goal of cleaning the park, the position uses a variety of equipment including blowers, pressure washers, scrubbers, sweepers, tractors, and vacuums. This position is also responsible for removing all trash dumpsters from around the park and getting them ready for pick-up disposal.

Requirements:

Responsibilities:
Soak City Lifeguards are responsible for guarding swimmers in their zone of coverage and for the safe and efficient operation of the aquatic areas of Soak City. They will work directly and communicate continuously with waterpark guests in a variety of situations. This includes the providing of proper dispatch intervals in accordance with the standard operating procedures for each attraction. The Lifeguards will be directly responsible for enforcing the waterpark and slide admission requirements. Lifeguards will achieve full certification in accordance with the National Pool and Waterpark Lifeguard Training Program as developed by Jeff Ellis & Associates (provided by Knott’s Berry Farm).

Requirements:
Lifeguards must be at least 16 years of age, in good physical condition, and satisfy the swimming pre-requisites in accordance with the National Pool and Waterpark Lifeguard Training Program. We have Park Attendant positions available at Knott's Berry Farm and Soak City! The primary responsibility of a Park Service Attendant is to ensure the total "Knott's Experience" for our guests. Oversees the daily operations of the hotel with the General Manager including security, maintenance, rooms, housekeeping, engineering, front desk, banquet rooms. Ensures that each department is providing efficient service while following all outlined company standards.

Administrative Duties:

Quality Control

Makes overall adjustments (labor, ODC, COG) throughout the year to meet department specific goals. Makes daily downward adjustments and recommendations for upward adjustments to labor levels based on attendance and sales to meet cost center specific goals. Critically reviews reports of occupancy, revenue etc. Formulate, maintain, present complex reports.

Staffing & Development
Manages direct reports’ performance issues, addresses disciplinary situations, and provides significant input into promotion, demotion, and termination decisions; reviews adjust and approves performance appraisals for department staff on an annual basis. Greets and maintains rapport with associates and customers. Appropriately handles associate issues in conjunction with Human Resources following Cedar Fair policies. Ensures breaks are taken in accordance with Knott's Berry Farm and California State policies. Interviews, hires, supervises and counsels department managers in the efficient operation of their respective area(s). Meets with, develops, and delegates improvement plans for operation and review performance of management team. Communicates both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff. Adheres to and enforces all Cedar Fair and specific Park policies and procedures, including safety, attendance and EEO policies, and demonstrates commitment to customer service in all aspects of employment.

Qualifications:
• Must have the ability to communicate in English and be proficient in reading and writing.
• Full knowledge of all aspects of Hotel Operations.

Directs and oversees both the Landscape and Aquatics Departments within Maintenance, handling both the planning and carrying out of projects. This involves scheduling work crews, planning daily work activities, and monitoring the work being done. • Responsible for training employees on safety and work procedures for all equipment and hazardous materials involved. • Responsible for managing all landscape field operations within the division as well as coordinating the procurement and scheduled use of resources, including labor, equipment and materials to ensure maximum use and completion of work within budget, safety guidelines and quality standards. • Promotes the growth and development of field staff and assists them in carrying out their responsibilities as needed
Qualifications:
• More than 5 years’ experience successfully managing a large and diverse workforce in landscape maintenance, construction, aquatic facility maintenance, and construction for water parks and natural lakes and streams, or a closely related field.
• At least 5 years' experience with the implementation, administration, and development of expense budgets.
• Must have a good understanding of modern business practices and procedures, business letter writing and elements of correct English usage, grammar, spelling, vocabulary, punctuation and mathematics. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is desired. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships with others is a must.
• Extensive knowledge of applicable laws, codes, standards, and industry practices relating to Maintenance and Water Parks in Southern California.
• Must possess a valid/current "category B" Qualified Applicator Certificate with the California Department of Pesticide Regulation.
