This entry level position is responsible for maintaining the hotel building and equipment and to ensure guestrooms are in complete working order and public areas are free from unsightly maintenance blemishes. Job Summary:
Maintain high safety standards and ride reliability by performing routine inspections and repairs on all attractions. Visually observe and inspect equipment during operation in order to detect appropriate operation of equipment, any physical deviations and/or abnormalities. Perform Ride Rehabilitations and new installations as scheduled.

  • Inspect, service, test, troubleshoot, and repair equipment as needed.
  • Trouble-shoot mechanical systems and devices, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems and take appropriate corrective action(s).
  • Detect basic electrical system malfunctions and take appropriate corrective actions(s).
  • Perform daily inspections and repairs on ride tracks and vehicles, safety systems, power systems, mechanical systems, motors, gear boxes, drives, clutches, mechanical devices, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and conveyance systems.
  • Perform welding (Mig, Tig, and Arc) repairs and/or fabrication when assigned.

  • Accurately read blue prints (mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic).

GENERAL DUTIES
Media Relations

Develop and execute company publicity plans in support of annual Marketing plan. Develop and maintain relationships with print, broadcast, online and radio media. Serve as company spokesperson for print, radio, and television media in non-crisis and select crisis situations. Write and produce press kits, pitch letters, brochures, in-park handouts, and web copy for Knott’s events. Respond to daily media requests for information, interviews, and press tours. Track, assess, and report out on media coverage in all mediums. Respond to media requests for company participation in non-company sponsored photo/film projects. Respond to daily media requests for information, interviews, press tours, permission to film, etc. Analyze requests for ticket donations, character appearances and company involvement in not-for-profit community programs (at times, in partnership with the Promotions team).

Content Creation
Draft speeches, newsletters, quotes, and responses for the General Managers and other executives as requested. Create copy for other departments as needed (case by case basis). Contribute content to website and social media channels.

Crisis Communication
Develop company position statements in the event of an accident, policy change, or natural disaster, coordinating with site and corporate leadership as necessary.

Special Event Coordination

Champion in-park special events requiring cross-discipline coordination to garner publicity for KBF. Oversee the process of commercial, TV, and/or feature filming – from location scout, through contracting, to actual location shoot logistics. Contribute to the planning and execution of photo and video shoots.

Budget
Contribute to the creation of annual PR budgets. Diligently track expenses against budget and communicate variances along the way

Additional Responsibilities
Utilize the Communications Department Assistant as a resource for select work streams, providing daily supervision and guidance. Represent company, as requested, on behalf of company executives at meetings and events. Provide input and assist in the creation of the annual marketing and communication plans. Evaluate and recommend appropriate vendors to provide services such as media wire services, media tracking services, and photography.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collaborates with various departments and administration to establish goals and priorities for technology solutions to meet company needs. Communications upward, downward and laterally with employees at all levels of the company and key contractors outside of the organization including vendors, other business professionals, regulatory agencies and local, state and federal government offices on a variety of business subjects from simple to very complex.
  • Maintains a broad knowledge of current and developing technology, equipment and systems. Provides direction and leadership in review of current IT systems and methods, and in the formulation of new and revised systems. Knott’s Berry Farm is seeking a self-motivated Occupational Health Nurse to supervise our First Aid Department. This position will oversee the treatment care of both guest and employees at our first aid station. This position will provide occupational health services including First Aid response case management, medical surveillance, and screening. Additionally, this position will develop health promotion and disease prevention programs. This position will coordinate with outside medical facilities and insurance companies for workers' comp needs and coordinate all medical leaves of absences. This position will also be responsible for analyzing the risks associated with work site hazards and participate in environmental, health and safety activities.

Successful candidates must possess a current CA RN license. A COHN with a minimum of five years experience in corporate occupational health is strongly preferred. You must have proven clinical assessments skills, superior communication skills and the drive to succeed. Demonstrated working knowledge of worker's comp, employment law and occupational health care experience are also required. Certification in audiometric and pulmonary function testing required. CPR & First Aid Instructor preferred. Ergonomic background is a plus.

GENERAL DUTIES
Manages, coordinates, and oversees the overall Employment and Recruiting functions to ensure employment goals are met for the Company while ensuring compliance with all Company policies and applicable local, state and federal laws. QUALIFICATIONS

At Least 18 Years of Age
Some college education preferred, but not required.

Proficient in the Accero and WorkForce systems, or other HRIS and applicant tracking system.
Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.

•Write requisitions for parts, tooling and equipment.
•Reviews safety procedures and literature regularly.
•Researches new equipment to gain efficiency in unit output and conserve energy usage.
•Some light carpentry, paint and metal working.

Job Requirements
•Must have certificate of completion for two year course in refrigeration.
•Must have five years experience in refrigeration field.
•Knowledge of basis electrical required.
•Must have at least ten year's experience in working with air conditioning, refrigeration equipment, chillers, heaters and swamp coolers, including all of the compressors, condensing units, and evaporators that would be involved.
•Must be at least 18 years of age.
•Must have hands-on experience working with several types of industrial use Freon.
•Must know how to use testing gauges, electrical meters, and evacuation equipment.
