Requirements:

Job Summary:
Maintain high safety standards and ride reliability by performing routine inspections and repairs on all attractions. Visually observe and inspect equipment during operation in order to detect appropriate operation of equipment, any physical deviations and/or abnormalities. Perform Ride Rehabilitations and new installations as scheduled.

  • Inspect, service, test, troubleshoot, and repair equipment as needed.
  • Trouble-shoot mechanical systems and devices, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems and take appropriate corrective action(s).
  • Detect basic electrical system malfunctions and take appropriate corrective actions(s).
  • Perform daily inspections and repairs on ride tracks and vehicles, safety systems, power systems, mechanical systems, motors, gear boxes, drives, clutches, mechanical devices, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and conveyance systems.
  • Perform welding (Mig, Tig, and Arc) repairs and/or fabrication when assigned.
  • Proficiently use precision measuring devices for testing components.
  • Set-up and operate Lathe, Mill, Drill press, Grinder, and other metal working tools/equipment.
  • Accurately read blue prints (mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic).
  • Read and understand manufacturer's manuals for service, repairs, and/or replacement components.
Requirements:
  • 2 to 5 years of job experience in related fields.
  • Working knowledge of Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems and monitoring equipment.
  • Working knowledge of the proper utilization and care of hand and power tools and maintenance equipment.
  • Experience servicing maintenance equipment and systems (bearings, drives, lifts, gearboxes, chains, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of electical, plumbing, carpentry and painting duties.
  • Welding (Mig, Tig, and Arc) with approved certification helpful, but not required.
  • Fiberglass repair experience helpful, but not required.

The primary responsibility of a Loss Prevention Investigator is to protect the assets of Knott's Berry Farm including Guests, Employees and property. This includes detering criminal acts, interviewing and interrogating, and any activity that violates Park rules and regulations. Other duties include written documentation of incidents (reading and writing skills), use of a computer and use of two way radios.

Requirements:
You must be at least 18 years of age, a high school graduate, or equivalent to be considered for this position. Must have Loss Prevention experience. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Quickly and accurately evaluate and diagnose power and control problems on a wide variety of foreign and domestic equipment to minimize equipment downtime while ensuring employee and guest safety. Perform necessary work, track, and document preventive maintenance on a wide variety of equipment. Must be able to read, understand and install electrical equipment and systems from engineered drawings, plans, and verbal directions. Must be proficient in maintaining complex electrical control systems to ensure proper operation. Candidate will also respond to unscheduled emergency work orders, prioritize levels of severity, while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum five years experience in an electrical maintenance environment. Journeyman level work performance. Must be able to troubleshoot and install various electrical/electronic components with a good working knowledge of the National Electrical Code. Medium to high voltage experience (5kv) is desired, knowledge of A/C & D/C Variable Speed Drives, Motor control and ladder Logic troubleshooting Back ground, Power and distribution systems, Extensive motor control and P.L.C experience(Allen-Bradley preferred) with some Electronic Component background. Must have no fear of heights and be able perform work at over 300ft and will also be trained for fall protection. Must have ability to handle and be trained to operate Airily lifts. Knott’s Berry Farm currently has an opening for a Ride Maintenance Manager. This position ensures the ongoing safety, efficiency, and availability of amusement rides and devices at a major Theme Park. Ensures that all employees work safely and in compliance with all Federal, State and Local laws, work rules, and best practice guidelines. Manages the ride repair, ride maintenance, and ride rehabilitation functions within the division. Provides technical leadership in heavy mechanical maintenance and ride safety. Creates and maintains the annual ride rehabilitation schedule. Ensures that all amusement rides are maintained in accordance with all applicable International, Federal, State, and Local codes and standards. In conjunction with four Ride Maintenance Supervisors, schedules and directs the activities of a large staff of hourly employees in order to accomplish the inspection, repair, and rehabilitation of various amusement rides and their associated equipment. Manages ride inspection and safety records, ensuring compliance with State regulations and Company Policies. Reviews departmental policies and procedures on an on going basis, making specific recommendations to improve safety, ride availability, efficiency and departmental performance. Writes additional departmental policies as needed. Communicates department status to Director and Vice President on an on going basis, including ride maintenance issues, employee concerns, guest complaints, special requests, losses, and any other unusual occurrences or situations in order to maintain optimal department performance.

The ideal candidate will have a proven history of successful leadership in the maintenance of amusement rides and equipment. At least ten years' experience in the mechanical maintenance of rides and amusement devices or PLC driven heavy manufacturing equipment. Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineering degree preferred. Extensive knowledge of Amusement Industry standards and practices including ASTM 2291. 5 to 10 years of leadership experience in a maintenance environment. Demonstrated experience leading a multi-disciplined, diverse technical team. Decision maker with the ability to work under pressure. Demonstrated skills in effective budget and scheduling management. Demonstrable knowledge of a computerized maintenance management system. Proven skills in identifying and developing leaders. Familiarity with DOSH requirements. Extensive and demonstrable knowledge of the maintenance, repair and rehabilitation of gearboxes, drivetrains, large bearings, gears, conveyors, engineered chains, sprockets, hydraulic systems and pneumatic systems.

Under the direction of the Internal Audit Manager, this position performs audits on controls over Revenue, Cash Receipts, Accounting, Computer Systems, Payroll, Purchasing, Expenditures, Inventory, etc. After completing each audit, this position reports to management in written format indicating the conclusions of the audits, including the necessary recommendations for improvements to controls and procedures. Audit interns will also be heavily involved with the testing required by our national CPA firm under the Sarbanes/Oxley law. This position performs other projects as assigned. This position is also required to make day trips to the Knott's Soak City Waterpark, across from the main park to perform required reviews.

Requirements:
This job requires a highly motivated individual who is able to work effectively both with and without supervision. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required, as interaction with management on a regular basis is required. Auditors must be willing to work approximately 40 hours per week (during the summer season) with varying daily schedules. Candidates should be Accounting or Finance majors in their junior year or above, with a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and must have completed an accounting course prior to the internship. Successful candidates must be able to pass a background check.

*Prefer experience in water quality control.
*Prefer at least 3 years experience in swimming pool treatment techniques.
