JOB FUNCTIONS SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for ensuring and maintaining a high safety standard, ride reliability, optimum capacity, and ride/attraction aesthetics for our guests and employees. Monitor employee performance (Hourly). Coordinate and complete special projects as assigned. Prepare, follow-up, and complete assigned Ride Rehabilitations (Job scope, assigned tracking numbers, personnel assignments, part ordering, documentation, and completion). Responsibilities:

Qualifications:
Minimum of five years ride maintenance experience at the mechanic level. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Writing, critical thinking, adjusting schedules, and computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel). Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) application. Ability to perform multiple tasks on a daily basis. Analyze ride issues and take appropriate corrective action(s). Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interoperate an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as converting fractions to/from the decimal system, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume, using both the standard and metric systems. Ability to read, understand, and implement manufacturer's manuals, safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, training manuals, policy manuals, chemical labels, and Material Safety Data Sheets. Ability to troubleshoot all maintenance issues (Electrical, Mechanical, Animation, Railroad, etc.). Ability to follow-up on and resolve all daily ride issues. Ability to effectively troubleshoot ride issues and expedite return to service. Ability to assist in all heavy maintenance assignments. Ability to delegate and follow-up on ever-changing work assignments. Ability to maintain a positive working atmosphere while building an effective team in a fast paced and demanding work environment. Job Summary:
Maintain high safety standards and ride reliability by performing routine inspections and repairs on all attractions. Visually observe and inspect equipment during operation in order to detect appropriate operation of equipment, any physical deviations and/or abnormalities. Perform Ride Rehabilitations and new installations as scheduled.

  • Inspect, service, test, troubleshoot, and repair equipment as needed.
  • Trouble-shoot mechanical systems and devices, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems and take appropriate corrective action(s).
  • Detect basic electrical system malfunctions and take appropriate corrective actions(s).
  • Perform daily inspections and repairs on ride tracks and vehicles, safety systems, power systems, mechanical systems, motors, gear boxes, drives, clutches, mechanical devices, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and conveyance systems.
  • Perform welding (Mig, Tig, and Arc) repairs and/or fabrication when assigned.
  • Proficiently use precision measuring devices for testing components.
  • Set-up and operate Lathe, Mill, Drill press, Grinder, and other metal working tools/equipment.
  • Accurately read blue prints (mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic).
  • Read and understand manufacturer's manuals for service, repairs, and/or replacement components.
Requirements:
  • 2 to 5 years of job experience in related fields.
  • Working knowledge of Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems and monitoring equipment.
  • Working knowledge of the proper utilization and care of hand and power tools and maintenance equipment.
  • Experience servicing maintenance equipment and systems (bearings, drives, lifts, gearboxes, chains, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of electical, plumbing, carpentry and painting duties.
  • Welding (Mig, Tig, and Arc) with approved certification helpful, but not required.
  • Fiberglass repair experience helpful, but not required.

The primary responsibility of a Loss Prevention Investigator is to protect the assets of Knott's Berry Farm including Guests, Employees and property. Knott’s Berry Farm currently has an opening for a Ride Maintenance Manager. This position ensures the ongoing safety, efficiency, and availability of amusement rides and devices at a major Theme Park. Ensures that all employees work safely and in compliance with all Federal, State and Local laws, work rules, and best practice guidelines. Manages the ride repair, ride maintenance, and ride rehabilitation functions within the division. Provides technical leadership in heavy mechanical maintenance and ride safety. Creates and maintains the annual ride rehabilitation schedule. Ensures that all amusement rides are maintained in accordance with all applicable International, Federal, State, and Local codes and standards. In conjunction with four Ride Maintenance Supervisors, schedules and directs the activities of a large staff of hourly employees in order to accomplish the inspection, repair, and rehabilitation of various amusement rides and their associated equipment. Manages ride inspection and safety records, ensuring compliance with State regulations and Company Policies. Reviews departmental policies and procedures on an on going basis, making specific recommendations to improve safety, ride availability, efficiency and departmental performance. Writes additional departmental policies as needed. Communicates department status to Director and Vice President on an on going basis, including ride maintenance issues, employee concerns, guest complaints, special requests, losses, and any other unusual occurrences or situations in order to maintain optimal department performance.

The ideal candidate will have a proven history of successful leadership in the maintenance of amusement rides and equipment. At least ten years' experience in the mechanical maintenance of rides and amusement devices or PLC driven heavy manufacturing equipment. Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineering degree preferred. Extensive knowledge of Amusement Industry standards and practices including ASTM 2291. 5 to 10 years of leadership experience in a maintenance environment. Demonstrated experience leading a multi-disciplined, diverse technical team. Decision maker with the ability to work under pressure. Demonstrated skills in effective budget and scheduling management. Demonstrable knowledge of a computerized maintenance management system. Proven skills in identifying and developing leaders. Familiarity with DOSH requirements. Extensive and demonstrable knowledge of the maintenance, repair and rehabilitation of gearboxes, drivetrains, large bearings, gears, conveyors, engineered chains, sprockets, hydraulic systems and pneumatic systems.

Tests water quality and checks chemicals at pool and water rides using computerized chemical control systems. Document water treatment techniques, water quality and meter readings. Requirements:
*Must have 3 to 5 years experience of plumbing and repair work
*Experience with commercial and residential plumbing systems, sprinkler systems, etc., or an equivalent amount of education/training to provide the required amount of skill and ability.
*Prefer experience in water quality control.
*Prefer at least 3 years experience in swimming pool treatment techniques.
*Certified Pool Operator (CPO) license preferred.
*Position required rotating first and second shifts, including weekends and holidays during the operating season.

The Digital Marketing Representative is responsible for creating and maintaining a superior consumer experience on Knott's many digital platforms, including the Knott's Berry Farm and Knott's Soak City websites, mobile sites, social media handles, and select email communication. This position is responsible for planning, creating, and posting original content on the various social channels, and providing ongoing and ad hoc reporting. With regard to social media, the position is responsible for monitoring and regularly responding to user comments and questions, moderating responses, reporting on guest sentiment, and managing a monthly budget for paid social content. This position is also responsible for leading SEM marketing efforts, including planning and optimizing PPC content and results. This position is the day to day liaison for social media influencer relations, assists and sometimes leads special events, and is integral in crisis communication management.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Keeps desktop website, mobile website, and mobile app current and relevant by generating original content, leveraging existing content, and/or partnering with agencies and corporate teams for content. Develops digital content for all major attendance driving programs (including new products, events, promotions, pricing, season passes, etc.) as well as keeping on-going content up to date and fresh (including park hours, entertainment schedules, ride closures, etc.). Acts as liaison to broader organization (marketing, sales, foods, merchandise, rides, hotel) attending meetings and establishing ongoing communication in order to ensure all content is as relevant as possible.
  • Oversee all aspects of the Knott's Berry Farm mobile app, including: keeping evergreen content up-to-date, adding and removing seasonal content, working with corporate and third party partners for day to day management of the app, growing awareness and usage of the app and reporting out on utilization and user sentiment, and ensuring the in-park beacons are fully utilized and optimized for the best possible app users' experience.
  • Manages assigned budgets and works directly with external agencies on development of web content and infrastructure, such as: SEO/SEM, digital advertising, content development, and reporting. Stays abreast of current trends and evaluates growth opportunities for the company websites.
  • Responsible for the development, execution, and post program analysis for several email and direct marketing campaigns. This includes, but is not limited to, development of creative content, maintenance of segmentation schemes, pre-campaign design and post campaign analysis and reporting. Must work in tandem with corporate partners to accomplish this work.
  • Provides assistance as directed by the Director of Communications for programs such as, but not limited to: media and public relations support and commercial/advertising production projects. Provides ad hoc assistance with programs throughout the Marketing & Sales Division including processing of ticket requests, copywriting, and vendor management.
  • Lead crisis communication efforts across digital platforms, including: the development of consumer responses/statements, posting on social media outlets, and answering guest questions/comments on social platforms where appropriate. Assist PR Representative with media and guest inquiries. Assist with other responsibilities including, but not limited to: writing press statements, making statements on camera, and answering press or guest questions.
  • Responsible for the growth of current and future social media platforms. Monitoring and reporting out on key social media, and providing guest sentiment reporting for all platforms and channels.
  • Develop and execute KBF social media strategies and plans, including the creation of all social media content (e.g. promotions, contests, news, fan interest, pictures, gifs, videos, and offers); manage positings; provide consumer responses to comments; answer user questions and respond to comments in a timely manner across all platforms.
  • Responsible for assigned digital marketing budget and justify spending, timely reporting, and management of expenses.
  • Responsible for the content management of the Knott's recorded information line, and works with a cross functional team to plan new content and update existing content by writing scripts, recording audio files, and ensuring timely, up-to-date recordings go live throughout the year.
  • Manage the KBF Marketing photo and video asset library by keeping existing content organized, adding new photos/videos as they're created seasonally, and working with local and corporate teams to designate proper usage guidelines for the assets (e.g. use on social, collateral, paid media, determining usage life, etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s Degree (4 year college or university)
  • 6 months – 1 year of related experience minimum
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to work and travel nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
  • Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
  • Driver’s license.
  • Advanced business and/or copywriting skills are absolutely mandatory.
  • High degree of PC literacy, including MS Office, visual and audio editing tools, some HTML experience, and experience with web content management systems. Experience with social media publishing and/or monitoring services preferred.
  • Theme park marketing, website development, SEO/SEM, and e-commerce experience preferred.
  • Must be detail oriented and possess excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to work in a team environment required.
  • Strong verbal, written communication and analytical skills.
  • Highly self motivated and results oriented.

This position has overall responsibility for the management and operation of all aspects of the IT department. Assists in setting strategic direction, collaborates across company departments to develop and manage the IT budget. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collaborates with various departments and administration to establish goals and priorities for technology solutions to meet company needs. Communications upward, downward and laterally with employees at all levels of the company and key contractors outside of the organization including vendors, other business professionals, regulatory agencies and local, state and federal government offices on a variety of business subjects from simple to very complex.
