JOB FUNCTIONS SUMMARY:

Job Summary:
Maintain high safety standards and ride reliability by performing routine inspections and repairs on all attractions. Visually observe and inspect equipment during operation in order to detect appropriate operation of equipment, any physical deviations and/or abnormalities. Perform Ride Rehabilitations and new installations as scheduled.

  • Inspect, service, test, troubleshoot, and repair equipment as needed.
  • Trouble-shoot mechanical systems and devices, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems and take appropriate corrective action(s).
  • Detect basic electrical system malfunctions and take appropriate corrective actions(s).
  • Perform daily inspections and repairs on ride tracks and vehicles, safety systems, power systems, mechanical systems, motors, gear boxes, drives, clutches, mechanical devices, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and conveyance systems.
  • Perform welding (Mig, Tig, and Arc) repairs and/or fabrication when assigned.
  • Proficiently use precision measuring devices for testing components.
  • Set-up and operate Lathe, Mill, Drill press, Grinder, and other metal working tools/equipment.
  • Accurately read blue prints (mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic).
  • Read and understand manufacturer's manuals for service, repairs, and/or replacement components.
Requirements:
  • 2 to 5 years of job experience in related fields.
  • Working knowledge of Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems and monitoring equipment.
  • Working knowledge of the proper utilization and care of hand and power tools and maintenance equipment.
  • Experience servicing maintenance equipment and systems (bearings, drives, lifts, gearboxes, chains, etc.)

Knott’s Berry Farm is seeking a self-motivated Occupational Health Nurse to supervise our First Aid Department. This position will oversee the treatment care of both guest and employees at our first aid station. This position will provide occupational health services including First Aid response case management, medical surveillance, and screening. Additionally, this position will develop health promotion and disease prevention programs. This position will coordinate with outside medical facilities and insurance companies for workers' comp needs and coordinate all medical leaves of absences. This position will also be responsible for analyzing the risks associated with work site hazards and participate in environmental, health and safety activities.

Successful candidates must possess a current CA RN license. A COHN with a minimum of five years experience in corporate occupational health is strongly preferred. You must have proven clinical assessments skills, superior communication skills and the drive to succeed. Demonstrated working knowledge of worker's comp, employment law and occupational health care experience are also required. Certification in audiometric and pulmonary function testing required. CPR & First Aid Instructor preferred. Ergonomic background is a plus.

JOB FUNCTIONS SUMMARY:
Responsible to oversee and direct the efforts of Starbucks. Manages all employees throughout the shift. Responsible for product ordering, scheduling and inventories. Controls product cost through proper ordering, product proportioning and inventory control.

DUTIES:
Provides guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.
Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.

Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.

Adheres to Cedar Fair's Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures.
Conducts cash handling transactions, including making change, providing refunds and accepting payments.
Reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to Area Manager and Maintenance for immediate attention.
Monitors proper cash handling policies and attendance of direct and indirect reports.
Performs operational duties of staff including cooking, expediting of food, and cleaning, as business needs dictate.
Executes appropriate actions to maximize achievement of profit and cost control goals. Being responsible for adding or cutting labor if needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

A minimum of two years Food and Beverage management experience (preferably Starbucks or other coffee house).
Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
Basic computer skills required, Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word preferred.
2 years experience combined as a Guest Service Associate and Team Leader
Ability to get a California Food Handler Card.

Knott’s Berry Farm, America’s first theme park, is seeking an experienced   Sous Chef to assist with our Park Culinary operations. This is a dynamic position, with culinary responsibilities in our seated dining restaurants, our quick service restaurants, and our catering/picnics operations. The Sous Chef will assist with establishing standards and recipes for our varied food operations, as well as, assuring Knott’s Berry Farm serves only the most exciting “gotta have” foods. • Ensures standards of quality preparation and presentation are met for all locations, while controlling production, waste, and spoilage.

• Implements menus, and introduces standards of quality and presentation.

• Able to demonstrate a commitment to training and mentoring our cooks.
• Ability to manage multiple facilities and food types.
