JOB FUNCTIONS SUMMARY:
Responsible to oversee and direct the efforts of Food and Beverage complex. Manages all employees throughout the shift. Responsible for product ordering, scheduling and inventories. Controls product cost through proper ordering, product proportioning and inventory control.

DUTIES:
  • Provides guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • A minimum of an Associates Degree or 2-3 Years of College, Bachelor's is a plus .
  • A minimum of two years Food and Beverage management experience.
  • Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
  • Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.

The primary responsibility of a Loss Prevention Investigator is to protect the assets of Knott's Berry Farm including Guests, Employees and property. This includes detering criminal acts, interviewing and interrogating, and any activity that violates Park rules and regulations. Other duties include written documentation of incidents (reading and writing skills), use of a computer and use of two way radios.

Requirements:
You must be at least 18 years of age, a high school graduate, or equivalent to be considered for this position. Must have Loss Prevention experience. This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing all plumbing fixtures and pumps in the park. Maintaining air and natural gas systems for buildings and rides within the park. Maintaining and monitoring irrigation and domestic water supply, including fire systems and irrigation facility within the park. Tests water quality and checks chemicals at pool and water rides using computerized chemical control systems. Document water treatment techniques, water quality and meter readings. Fits piping for air, water, gas, and sewer lines; repair gas and air systems; and use welding equipment to repair piping in the park. Respond to requests for checkups and repairs.

Requirements:
*Must have 3 to 5 years experience of plumbing and repair work
*Experience with commercial and residential plumbing systems, sprinkler systems, etc., or an equivalent amount of education/training to provide the required amount of skill and ability.
*Prefer experience in water quality control.
*Prefer at least 3 years experience in swimming pool treatment techniques.
*Certified Pool Operator (CPO) license preferred.

JOB FUNCTIONS SUMMARY:
Directs the repair, maintenance and inspection of all amusement rides and related equipment at Knott's Berry Farm. Ensures the safety of all amusement rides and equipment. QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
  • Documented history of training and development of subordinate staff.
  • At least 5 years' experience with ordering and procurement in a Maintenance role.
  • Solid understanding of basic budgeting and accounting practices and at least 5 years' direct experience tracking and administering maintenance budgets.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of basic Mechanical and Electrical principles and common industry practices.
  • Documented history of successfully managing a medium-sized to large staff composed of multiple trades and a diverse workforce.
  • 6 to 10 years' experience of successful Maintenance Management in an Amusement Park or Industrial setting.

Knott’s Berry Farm is seeking a self-motivated Occupational Health Nurse to supervise our First Aid Department. This position will oversee the treatment care of both guest and employees at our first aid station. This position will provide occupational health services including First Aid response case management, medical surveillance, and screening. Additionally, this position will develop health promotion and disease prevention programs. This position will coordinate with outside medical facilities and insurance companies for workers' comp needs and coordinate all medical leaves of absences. This position will also be responsible for analyzing the risks associated with work site hazards and participate in environmental, health and safety activities.

Successful candidates must possess a current CA RN license. A COHN with a minimum of five years experience in corporate occupational health is strongly preferred. You must have proven clinical assessments skills, superior communication skills and the drive to succeed. Demonstrated working knowledge of worker's comp, employment law and occupational health care experience are also required. Certification in audiometric and pulmonary function testing required. CPR & First Aid Instructor preferred. Ergonomic background is a plus.

Oversees the daily operations of the hotel with the General Manager including security, maintenance, rooms, housekeeping, engineering, front desk, banquet rooms. Ensures that each department is providing efficient service while following all outlined company standards.

Administrative Duties:
Performs administrative duties including: reading and writing reports, dictating memorandums and orally communicating with guests, managers, corporate office, local associations, etc. Reviews daily, weekly, and monthly department paperwork and reports, and takes action to implement appropriate corrective actions to resolve operational concerns. General Leadership:

Quality Control
Tours and visually inspects property on a daily basis. Monitors cost control, property condition, cleanliness and quality of product and service throughout hotel.

Revenue Control
Makes judgments and implement changes to maximize profits. Assists in preparing and administering annual department operating budget. Makes overall adjustments (labor, ODC, COG) throughout the year to meet department specific goals. Makes daily downward adjustments and recommendations for upward adjustments to labor levels based on attendance and sales to meet cost center specific goals. Critically reviews reports of occupancy, revenue etc. Formulate, maintain, present complex reports.

Staffing & Development
Manages direct reports’ performance issues, addresses disciplinary situations, and provides significant input into promotion, demotion, and termination decisions; reviews adjust and approves performance appraisals for department staff on an annual basis. Greets and maintains rapport with associates and customers. Appropriately handles associate issues in conjunction with Human Resources following Cedar Fair policies. Ensures breaks are taken in accordance with Knott's Berry Farm and California State policies. Interviews, hires, supervises and counsels department managers in the efficient operation of their respective area(s). Meets with, develops, and delegates improvement plans for operation and review performance of management team. Communicates both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff. This involves scheduling work crews, planning daily work activities, and monitoring the work being done. • Responsible for training employees on safety and work procedures for all equipment and hazardous materials involved. • Responsible for managing all landscape field operations within the division as well as coordinating the procurement and scheduled use of resources, including labor, equipment and materials to ensure maximum use and completion of work within budget, safety guidelines and quality standards. • Promotes the growth and development of field staff and assists them in carrying out their responsibilities as needed
Qualifications:
• More than 5 years’ experience successfully managing a large and diverse workforce in landscape maintenance, construction, aquatic facility maintenance, and construction for water parks and natural lakes and streams, or a closely related field.
• At least 5 years' experience with the implementation, administration, and development of expense budgets.
• Must have a good understanding of modern business practices and procedures, business letter writing and elements of correct English usage, grammar, spelling, vocabulary, punctuation and mathematics. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is desired. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships with others is a must.
• Extensive knowledge of applicable laws, codes, standards, and industry practices relating to Maintenance and Water Parks in Southern California.
• Must possess a valid/current "category B" Qualified Applicator Certificate with the California Department of Pesticide Regulation.
• Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
• Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company Policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law. • Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
• Associates Degree or 2-3 years of equivalent College work, a Bachelor's is a plus.

The responsibility of the Help Desk Supervisor is to supervise the performance of Tier 1 and Tier 2 Help Desk Specialists & support to clients (internal and external) and ensure that service levels are achieved. To ensure that customer expectations are met or exceeded. The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the staff is meeting and exceeding expectations in regards to performance, meeting defined metrics and benchmarks, and that standards and processes are followed to provide effective customer service and meet requirements.

Requirements:
  • Responsible for assuring users are provided efficient and timely first and second tier support during park operating hours
  • Performs staff scheduling to ensure Help Desk coverage during normal business hours and on-call support as required
  • Supervises Help Desk staff including consultation on performance evaluations, promotions, hiring and disciplinary actions
  • Provides staff support for administrative tasks and projects relative to the Desktop, Network, Systems and Telephone functions
  • Maintains a central source of information (knowledge base) enabling Help Desk staff to recover outages with minimal disruption
  • Invokes problem escalation procedures to coordinate recovery
  • Finds problem trends and ensures permanent solutions to recurring problems are found
  • Ensures that weekly and monthly statistics, status reports and reporting aids are completed and continually modified to meet the needs of the department
  • Ensures that decisions made to improve the overall customer support of the help desk are continually carried through
  • Maintain working hours commiserate with changing job needs
  • Coordinates training requirements of help desk personnel
  • Contributes to departmental productivity and development by participating in training programs
  • Provides essential leadership by projecting a positive attitude and providing learning incentives

  • Maintains competency and enhances professional growth through continuing education
  • Serves as one of the around the clock contacts for all related support issues, providing advanced first level technology support
  • Accountable for meeting Service Level Agreements established by Information Technology Manager
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the IT Manager

Skills:
  • Associates Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
  • 5+ years of related technical and leadership experience in a help desk environment supporting desktop, Network and Microsoft systems
  • Microsoft MCSE or equivalent demonstrable systems understanding
  • Demonstrated management skills are required in planning, directing, reporting and administrative responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare, read, comprehend and analyze a variety of complex forms, reports, spreadsheet, plans and documentation
  • Demonstrated ability to respond adequately to inquiries or complaints
  • Demonstrated ability to write using standard convention
  • Demonstrated ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions
  • Demonstrated ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
  • Demonstrated ability to use and interpret job related terminology and functions effectively and accurately
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high priority initiatives in a fast paced, highly technical environment

Physical Requirements:
  • Needs ability to use a keyboard to enter and retrieve data
  • Must have good eyesight to view computer monitor and phone
  • Lifting and/or carrying of 50lbs and the pushing and pulling of carts if necessary
