Picture this: Wooden A-framed picnic tables, red checkered tablecloths, the aroma of sweet hickory, and a nostalgic campfire. You are with your best friends sitting around the fire roasting golden brown s’mores. Classic cookout tunes are playing from a live band in the background while sweet sounds of laughter echo in the distance from people playing fun games like cornhole, giant Jenga and oversized chess. Welcome to Knott’s SummerNights!


This interactive Backyard BBQ is buzzing with entertainment, music, delicious food and thirst quenching drinks.


Tasting Card


Much like the Boysenberry Festival, Knott’s Summer Nights has an interactive tasting card with lots of unique food options that allow you to try a variety of food. For $35 you get 8 tastings from a choice of 20 items. All of the items on the card are also available a la carte. Here are 10 Items you will not want to miss!


Chicken Skewers


Like a bright and cheerful summer afternoon, these grilled veggie and chicken skewers are packed with tons of flavor. Onions, bell peppers, zucchini, and grilled chicken are all snuggled together on a wooden skewer. There is plenty to share and is a nice change of pace from the typical hamburger.


Sausage and Shrimp Skewers


This dynamic duo is packed with protein for all you meat eaters! Bold and spicy sausage paired with grilled shrimp creates a hoe-down in your mouth. And don’t forget the sweet bell peppers and red onion. Eating off a skewer just makes food more fun.


Chili in a cornbread Bowl


Perfectly crumbly and slightly sweet cornbread holds up well when filled with a thick and rich chili. Indulge yourself and top it off with shredded cheddar cheese, green onions, and silky sour cream. You will need two spoons for this!


Sausage on a Bun


Although not on the menu, guests can ask to have chili added to their sausage on a bun and make it a deluxe chili cheese dog. Sit by the fire and listen to your favorite songs while you chomp on this delicious creation.


Tacos


I wanna taco bout how delicious these tacos are! A quick side note first, the tasting cards say “fish tacos”, but just know these taco flavors change throughout the run (fish, shrimp, etc.). It comes with 2 corn tortillas, diced shrimp, cabbage, tomatoes and a creamy chipotle sauce drizzled on top. I was able to share this with a friend because there are two tortillas and we were each able to have 1 full taco each.


Boysenberry Cider by ACE


Who doesn’t love a crisp refreshing cocktail on a hot summer night? Grab a cup of cold Boysenberry cider from ACE (The stand is in front of the train) and watch the sunset descend as the clouds turn a beautiful shade of burnt orange.


Churro Loops


Warm and sugary, the churro loops are a delicious dessert to enjoy by the fire or while you walk around the park. These twisty treats are coated in white chocolate and dusted with delicious crunchy sprinkles.


Fudge Dipped Apple


I personally think this is the best item on the tasting card! Located in the Ghost Town Candy store, guests fill out a short “create your own apple” order form with their name, and choice of two toppings (peanuts, pecans, sprinkles, Butterfinger pieces, oreo crumbs or heath pieces). Mark yes or no to a caramel drizzle and you are set! Then watch through the glass as one of the apple artists creates your enormous fudge dipped apple. It is big enough for 2-3 people to share.


Farmers Market Shortcake


Strawberries and summer go hand in hand and the Farmer’s Market Shortcake does not disappoint! Buttery, tender cake melts in your mouth followed by a burst of sweet and juicy strawberries all topped off with a pillowy cloud of whipped cream. It certainly is classic. And it is most certainly fantastic.


Ice Cream Sandwich

Cool off from the intense heat with a Cookie-wich! Guests have the choice of 3 flavors: Vanilla, Boysenberry and Butter Pecan. Enjoy a large scoop of ice cream sandwiched in between two large cookies (chocolate chip or lemon) and then you can top it off with chocolate chips, sprinkles or just enjoy it plain. Your sweet tooth will thank you for this dessert.


Berry Blogger Bonus Item (Mixed Fruit Bowl)

One of my favorite ways to cool off in the heat is with cold fresh fruit! Knott’s serves a cool mixed fruit bowl with the added bonus of Tajin in little packets. Your tastebuds will be so happy when they are hit with this tangy salty lime dust. The fruit bowl comes with cantaloupe, honeydew, grapes, blackberries, raspberries, and blueberries.


Knott’s Summer Nights is so much fun for the entire family and it’s the closest thing you’ll find to a backyard BBQ. With delicious food, fun games, great music and a handful of your most hilarious friends you will be coming back all summer long!
