Tell Us About Your Outlet:
Balancing The Chaos is all about family fun in Southern California. I’m an Orange County mom who shares our personal adventures, top attractions, favorite food and restaurants, travel, theater, parenting tips, ticket giveaways, and more.
Tell Us About Yourself:
I'm a wife of 15 years in August, mom of 2 (Daughter just turned 11 yesterday with a drive-by birthday parade and a son that is 12. We have a 15-year-old lovable lab and live in West Anaheim. We're practically next-door neighbors to Snoopy. I am a substitute teacher for the Cypress School District, am on the PTA board at my kid's school, as the yearbook editor/photographer, and help out in any capacity I can. My husband is a high school teacher in Anaheim, as well as the Athletic Director, PE/Health Department Chair, Head Coach of their football team and head coach of softball. He is also now an assistant coach for Cypress JC softball, and in his spare time, an Orange County basketball official. My daughter dances about 11 hours a week and is on the competitive team, and my son plays travel baseball. We're a family always on the go, looking for awesome things to occupy the rest of the days we have available on our calendar.
Favorite Knott's Memory:
My favorite Knott's memories were when my daughter was able to dance on stage with her dance company during the holidays. While it was mostly parents in the crowd at the Calico Stage or the Fiesta, anyone who was in the park that day, walking by were sure to stop to see these beautiful dancers strut their stuff. As soon as they were done performing, a team bonding ride on the Calico Mine Ride. I think the best part was when the girls visited Santa at the Mystery Lodge and snapped the cutest photo!
Top Three Must Do's for People Visiting the Park:
- Ride Hang Time
- Eat a Boysenberry Funnel Cake
- Have a glass of Boysenberry Wine
Any Fun Tips for People Visiting the Park:
I LOVE having a Season Pass. With so many seasons of fun, Knott's kicks off so many celebrations for us. From the beginning of school where we celebrate the last days of summer, to kicking off Fall with Spooky and Scary Farm and ushering in the holidays with Merry Farm. When there is a Monday off of school, we plan on meeting school friends in the park or spending a couple of hours on a minimum day. Pair the season pass with the All-Season Dining Meal Plan. We plan our day around it: We start off our day with lunch at Panda Express and end the day with dinner at Boardwalk BBQ or any of the other restaurants. Also, start off the day with Ghostrider - the line always ends up long throughout the day as it is a fan favorite.
