Knott's Summer Nights Girls Night Out
Need time away? Time to get together with your favorite girlfriends, to catch up and take a break from daily responsibilities? Knott's Summer Nights is the perfect setting for an awesome girls night because there is so much to see and do from shopping, dancing, delicious dinner options, and thrill rides. When my girlfriends and I plan a girls night out, Knott’s is our top choice.
All you need to do is set the date! Knott's Summer Nights is scheduled for select dates through the months of June, July, and August. From as early as 5:30 p.m. to one hour prior to park close, the special event food stations offer a variety of delicious food and beverage options. The best way to experience the culinary delights is with the purchase of a Knott's Summer Nights Tasting Card. For $50, you are able to enjoy six tastings of your choosing. The best part, if you don’t use all the tastings on the card, you're able to return at any time during the event dates.
As the sun goes down, the summertime adventures begin. Knott’s has brought back all the favorite Summer Nights bands and DJs. You’ll need your dancing shoes because there is live music from a variety of top 40’s bands that rotate throughout the event at the Calico Mine Stage and the Calico Park Stage. There is an array of bands from genres of Latin, Reggae, and Zydeco. Performances are typically at 7:00 p.m., 8:15 p.m., and 9:30 p.m., so you can plan your evening around the bands. This year’s band lineup includes Tomasina, Hiatus, The Suffragettes, Dangerously and The Royal, Urban Music Society, Adelaide Pilar, Nitro Express, Zydeco Party Band, Island Reggae, Filharmonic, and a few others. My girlfriends and I really listened and danced to The Suffragettes and Mic Dangerously and the Royal We.
Classic backyard games are scattered around the Calico Park Stage. Some of the games include tic tac toe, zing that ring, dice, and good ol’ fashion fun that keep the party going all night.
Additionally, at the Charleston Circle Fountain, we were bopping to the beats of the Boardwalk DJs while dancing in the streets. The entire square comes alive when the DJ takes their perch above the Boardwalk Surf Shop. Jamming tunes had us dancing while walking through to our next destination. We stopped and grooved to several of our favorite songs before wandering off to catch the next performance at the Calico Stage.
If you like live dueling pianos, check out Ride The Tide with Dino and Tad at the Boardwalk BBQ. You can also use your all-season dining pass and enjoy a delicious bbq inspired dinner while singing along to classic tunes. And if you’re feeling it, you can even get up and dance in the aisles too.
In the Fiesta Plaza, enjoy the Mariachi Angelitas, a South of the Border Show filled with rich history, as these beautiful ladies perform a traditional mariachi performance.
The Ghost Town Miners take the stage at the Fireman’s BBQ, where they feature bluegrass and country music while you’re enjoying delicious BBQ dishes.
Of my friends, I’m the shop-a-holic, so hitting up a few of the different shops around the park is always fun. We wandered through several of the shops, checking out all of the new seasonal merchandise for Ghost Town Alive and a few of the other specialty shops like the glass shop that has beautiful crystal statues and jewelry.
What we love about Knott’s is that Summer Nights and all the seasons of fun are included in the price of admission. Since we are local and visit often, it just makes sense to purchase a season pass and add in the all-season dining. As Season Passholders, we typically enjoy the park with our families and it's also a great way to have an inexpensive night out with the girls. Now the only question is which night do you choose? Remember, Knott’s Summer Nights is available on select evenings through September 5th, 2022.
