Knott's Berry Farm Kicks Off 2023 with Community Outreach and Volunteering!

April 26, 2023

Knott's Berry Farm is not just our favorite theme park in Southern California, but it's also a company dedicated to giving back to the community through volunteer work.

We are grateful to have participated alongside the Knott's team to give back and cannot wait for our next opportunity. It's always better to give than to receive, and when we volunteer side by side with the Knott's team, we feel that compassion in everyone. This is one of the many reasons we choose to return with our Knott’s family to volunteer with love.

Over the years, Knott's Berry Farm has partnered with various organizations to help support and improve the lives of those in the surrounding community. One of the main ways that Knott's Berry Farm contributes to the community is through its volunteer program. After all, Cordelia loved to cook, bake and feed everyone around her. The legacy of community care continues!

Did you know that Knott's opens up these outreach opportunities to all their employees? I love this so much. By doing this, we have met some of the most loving, giving, and kind people working at Knott's. When we see their faces around the farm, we light up with joy and feel pride in a theme park that values community service.

Knott's Berry Farm encourages its employees to volunteer and give back to the community alongside one another. Anyone on the Knott's team is welcome to join in. Employees can volunteer quarterly at local locations like community centers, farms, kids' clubs, and other non-profit organizations. Knott's appreciates this extra effort from their employees and offers a volunteer appreciation program. I absolutely love this.

Over the last few months, Knott's and their associates have been busy in the community.

The teams have volunteered with:

Reading across America and the Centralia School District, where Knott's staff members volunteered to read to local elementary schools in the Buena Park District.

Knott's Parks departments participated in Adopt a Family with the Centralia School District. They adopted 20 families for the Holiday season by surprising them with gifts from their wish lists to ring in the new year. The Knott’s team was able to sponsor over 400 gifts!

Knott's Berry Farm recently donated 11k to the Speech and Language Development Center (SLDC) for their Occupational Therapy Room. Fun fact - The money donated was raised during Coaster Campout. Also, Knott's just hosted the Walk with SLDC to help raise money for their school. Parents, sponsors, volunteers, and students participated in a walk at Knott's on Sunday, March 26.

Knott's Berry Farm regularly partners with organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club (one of our all-time favorites), Second Harvest Food Bank, and OC Food Bank to provide support and resources to those in need. Through these partnerships, Knott's Berry Farm has helped to provide meals, school supplies, funding, and other necessities to children and families in the community. Knott’s has also helped with fundraising efforts through ticket donations to local schools, churches, and non-profits. Since January 2023, they have already donated over $42,000! I am overwhelmed with joy knowing Knott's employees gave back over 200 hours of service during their 100 acts of kindness. Just last year, we were able to be on-site remodeling the entire backyard of the Boys and Girls Club of Buena Park with the Knott's team. While humbly volunteering with my daughter, we created new long-lasting friendships! You can read more about that here.

In addition to its volunteer program and partnerships, Knott's Berry Farm hosts various events yearly to raise funds for local charities and organizations. For example, the park hosts an annual Coaster Camp Out for a Cause event, where guests can purchase tickets to camp overnight, with all proceeds going to a selected charity.

One of the most notable examples of Knott's Berry Farm's commitment to the community is its annual Military/Fire/Law Tribute Days. During this event, active-duty personnel and veterans are offered discounted admission to the park, along with discounted tickets for their families.

Knott's Berry Farm is more than just a theme park; it's a company dedicated to giving back to the community through volunteer work, partnerships with non-profit organizations, and fundraising events. Through its various efforts, Knott's Berry Farm has positively impacted the lives of many individuals and families in the Southern California community, including my own family.

We are incredibly honored to be ambassadors of Knott's Berry Farm, and we are thankful for the opportunities to give back with their employees. We call them our Knott's family!

You, too, can volunteer alongside Knott's team members. You can do this by selecting the same date as the Knott's team at volunteering events they will be participating in. There are always opportunities organized by non-profits locally, and Knott's just signs up like you, and I can anytime as well. Thoughts on a Season passholder volunteer meet-up? I like the sound of this Berry much!

Keep an eye out for Knott's Berry Farm's team in the community within the next few months as they continue to expand their outreach and volunteering opportunities.
