The most delicious time of year is almost here! The Knott's Boysenberry Festival is the springtime celebration of all things BOYSENBERRY from food, to merchandise to special live entertainment. Here are some of our favorite tips and tricks to enjoying the Knott's Boysenberry Festival.
Arrival
Before you arrive, make sure you have everything you need starting with tickets. The Knott's Boysenberry Festival is included with regular park admission or a 2024 Knott's Berry Farm Season Pass. Park tickets are available for as low as $59.99 online. Food items for the festival are not included with admission. Remember that outside food, other than baby food and snacks for special dietary needs, is not permitted. You can, however, bring unopened water bottles into the park. The park daily hours can be found online or download the Knott’s Berry Farm app, for the shortest wait on rides, food, etc. it's best to arrive early!

Food
With over 75 different boysenberry food, drinks, treats, and more, how do you decide where to start? The best way to enjoy the tastes of the festival is with a food tasting card. For $55 you receive 6 tastings of boysenberry sweet and savory treats, dishes, and drinks. A variety of signature Boysenberry items will also be available for purchase a la carte. Pro Tip: The locations serving tasting card items are available throughout the entire day during the Boysenberry Festival. We’ve found that these stands are the busiest in the early afternoon (12-3pm) and dinner time (6pm-8pm) so try to eat early or later to avoid long lines.
Outside of the tasting card options, there are still a ton of treats to try! Other items new to the Boysenberry Festival include the Knott’s Elk Burger. This tasty elk burger patty is covered in fried onions and drizzled with our signature Boysenberry BBQ sauce located at Sutter’s Grill. Bring some friends with you and don’t forget to stop by Silver Bullet Booth for the new Boysenberry Pineapple Rum Runner.
Expert Tip: Grab a Boysenberry Sipper Cup at the Calico Saloon for the cutest take home souvenir.
Other Boysenberry Festival favorites will also be making their return for 2024 including the Boysenberry Fun Bun, Boysenberry Corn Dog, and our Boysenberry Dippin’ Dots.
Appetizing Shows and Experiences
Knott's Boysenberry Festival also comes with endless entertainment throughout the park. From musical performances to fun interactive games, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Guests are invited to celebrate the heritage of California's original theme park with the show Knott's Preserved. Through song, dance and storytelling, the audience takes a musical journey from the little ghost town of Calico to the Seaside Boardwalk of the Roaring '20s to commemorate the heritage of the park. All aboard for a boysenberry bon voyage at the legendary Bird Cage Theatre with a special presentation of the comedy melodrama Riverboat Revenge. Guests are challenged to try their berry best in Boysenberry Fun and Games in Calico Park or head over to Calico Mine Stage for the wildly entertaining Boysenberry Pie Eating Contest. Young ones and the young at heart are invited to cozy up to the cutest critters on the farm, including horses, goats and other furry friends at Old MacDonald's Barn, a tribute to one of the farm's original attractions. Those unfamiliar with the berry that started it all are encouraged to grab a slice of history in the History of the Boysenberry Museum in Town Hall. Pro Tip: Take a break in the Factory Store and gander at some original artwork in the art show "Tied up in Knott's" as these artists pay tribute to the history of Knott's Berry Farm and the boysenberry.
Take Home Treats
Take home the tastes and scents of the festivities with some of the brand-new merchandise available for the festival. The official Boysenberry Festival T-Shirt comes with a limited-edition festival pin. Be on the lookout for our new Boysenberry Merch such as Boysenberry Spirit Jerseys, Pie Backpacks, Pie wristlets, Boysenberry Bubble Blaster, and Berry Stand Building Blocks. You can purchase your festival items at the merchandise booth across from the GhostRider entrance. Indulge in the new decadent candy varieties infused with boysenberry flavor. Items include boysenberry churro fudge, boysenberry peanut brittle, chocolate dipped honeycomb, and more! These treats can be found in the General Store in Ghost Town and the Berry Market outside the park. And after a long and tasty day at Knott's relax in the scents of Boysenberry Lavender with our bath bombs, salt soaks, and candles available in the Gold Trails Hotel in Ghost Town and Virginia’s Gift Shop outside the park.
Pro Tip: Don’t forget to check out the 30+ artisan crafters selling homemade gifts throughout the streets of Ghost Town along with live artist demonstrations including chainsaw woodcarving and glass blowing.
Pro Pro Tip: Real live boysenberry plants are back by popular demand. There is a limited supply of plants and they will sell out so if you want to grow your own boysenberries, make sure to purchase early. Get yours on Gold Mine Trail next to the exit of GhostRider.
