What is Knott's Berry Farm Theme Park?
What began as a roadside berry stand and Chicken Dinner Restaurant in the 1920s has evolved into one of Southern California’s most popular theme park destinations, attracting more than five million visitors each year. At Knott’s, fun is always in season, with dozens of rides, shows, and attractions in four themed areas.  Knott’s is also home to one of the only waterparks in Southern California, Knott’s Soak City Water Park, the Knott’s Marketplace for all your dining and shopping needs, and our full-service Knott’s Berry Farm Hotel.

Where is Knott's?

Located in Buena Park, Orange County, California, ten minutes from Disneyland and 30 minutes from the John Wayne Airport, downtown Los Angeles, Long Beach Airport, and LAX.

How did Knott's Begin?
The Knott Family arrived in Buena Park in 1920 to farm 20 acres of land. The famous berry stand and Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant followed, attracting visitors from near and far. In 1940, Walter began building Ghost Town as a diversion for the thousands of hungry guests lining up each day – and the rest is history!

What are the Four Themed Areas?

Camp Snoopy remains the most beloved children's wonderland anywhere. The six-acre kids' paradise featuring over 30 attractions for the young – and young at heart! Attractions include the Camp Snoopy Theatre, home to a variety of shows starring Snoopy and the PEANUTS Gang, Snoopy’s Red Baron airplanes, the spinning coaster Sierra Sidewinder, and many other adventures.

Old West Ghost Town, the heart and soul of the Park, is a rough 'n' ready 1880s Old West Boom Town of cowboys, gunfights, can-can dancers, stagecoaches, a steam train and panning for real gold. Ghost Town is also the home of Pony Express-The Ride and Silver Bullet, Knott’s first suspended coaster. Other Ghost Town adventures include Calico River Rapids, a tempestuous outdoor white-water river excursion and GhostRider®, a spectacular wooden coaster. Plus the classic, Timber Mountain Log Ride and Calico Mine Ride, round out this spectacular area.

Fiesta Village, the prowling grounds for Knott's Jaguar! roller coaster, is a festive salute to California's rich Spanish legacy, complete with architecture, food, eye-catching works of art, and spicy rides including La Revolución, Los Voladores, and Sol Spin.

The Boardwalk pays tribute to the celebrated Southern California beach lifestyle and a retro era that never was but always will be. Here you will find the Knott's Bear-y Tales: Return to the Fair, a 4-D interactive dark ride that pays tribute to the classic attraction from 35 years ago. The Boardwalk area is also home to Coast Rider, a family coaster, Surfside Gliders, on which riders pilot their own two-person aircraft for a scenic view of Boardwalk Bay, and the classic Pacific Scrambler.  Boardwalk is also where you’ll find thrill-seeker favorites! HangTime, the first dive coaster in California. The coaster towers 150 feet over the Boardwalk area, showcasing five gravity-defying inversions, mid-air suspensions and a beyond vertical drop. Xcelerator sends daredevils screaming 0-80 mph in just 2.3 seconds! Other gravity-defying thrills include adrenaline rushing fun on Supreme Scream®. The 2,100-seat Walter Knott Theatre rounds out the fun as it hosts a spectacular Broadway style ice show during the holiday season.

What Kinds of Entertainment Does Knott's Present?
Dozens of stages throughout the Park offer nonstop live entertainment, including big-stage seasonal productions in the 2,100-seat Walter Knott Theatre; spirited saloon shows at the Calico Saloon; and Native American dances and presentations in Indian Trails. Summers at Knott’s mean a host of live entertainment, including DJs spinning the favorites and rock bands belting out the classics.

What about Food?
While Berry Market preserves and food products are known the world over, guests will find more than 40 unique in-park places to eat. Knott’s is widely applauded for serving the finest food at any theme or amusement park anywhere.

You'll find what your appetite craves -- from grilled hot dogs and flame-broiled hamburgers to flank steak sandwiches, spicy Mexican fajitas, open-air barbecues, roasted corn, delicious boysenberry desserts and the recipe that started it all over seventy-five years ago, Mrs. Knott's Famous Fried Chicken!

The Boardwalk Barbecue restaurant offers various BBQ favorites including smoked pork ribs, tri-tip and rotisserie chicken along with a selection of sandwiches and side dishes. Boardwalk Barbecue also features a selection of local and well-known craft beers. Then pull up a chair in the covered seating area to enjoy some live entertainment.

Johnny Rockets restaurant, located in the Knott’s Boardwalk area, is the largest in North America and features simple, great-tasting food from a menu of all-American favorites, including juicy hamburgers, freshly baked apple pie, hand-dipped shakes and malts…always served with a smile!

T.G.I. Friday’s, located just outside the park in the California Market Place, is one of the first American casual dining chains established in 1965. T.G.I. Friday’s offers an unsurpassed menu selection of food prepared to perfection, served in a lively, friendly atmosphere. In here, it’s always Friday.

Starbucks is also located in the California Marketplace just outside the main Park entrance. Enjoy Starbucks' world-class coffee drinks and entrees. Plus, this is the only location on earth to order a signature farm fresh boysenberry Frappuccino.

Where can I Shop?
More than 50 shops offer everything from classic souvenirs to PEANUTS collectibles, fine gifts and Native American handmade crafts. Favored shopping destinations include GhostRider® Goods and the elegant Gold Trails Hotel and Mercantile in Ghost Town.
Knott’s MarketPlace, a free-admission dining and shopping complex outside the Park's gates, is the home of Virginia's Gift Shop, The Berry Market, the delightful Peanuts Headquarters, and the Emporium.

Does Knott's Have Real Thrill Rides?
