Now Open: Mrs. Knott's Chicken Dinner Restaurant
Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant reopened following a complete refurbishment. Each of the restaurant's four main dining rooms is dressed with a unique theme that harkens back to the restaurant's origins.
Step inside the new, spacious lobby and check-in at the hostess stand. If a wait is necessary, enjoy the time perusing the shops of the California Marketplace and receive a text message when it’s time to eat!
The Tea Room was the first dining room to open in 1934. A meal in this dining room means cozying up together in a booth inspired by the original seating arrangements and views of the hustle and bustle of the California Marketplace just outside the windows that line the dining room.
The large dining room to the right of the entrance has been remodeled with a look inspired by Mrs. Knott’s kitchen pantry. Nods to Cordelia’s home kitchen, including a potbelly stove, rustic furnishings, and seating arrangements for large parties evoke themes of warmth, family, and togetherness.
Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant now features a full service bar, serving signature boysenberry-infused cocktails. With décor that pays homage to the Garden Dining Room that preceded it, the bar is at once rustic and modern, and a great place to retire to after a day of fun in the park.
With a theme inspired by a western farmhouse, the barn dining room is a great reminder of why life is better on the farm!
For the first time, a new outdoor seating area on the restaurant’s north side welcomes you to dine al fresco with beautiful views of the Marketplace fountain and the newly restored GhostRider roller coaster.
Despite the changes to the restaurant’s look, the Knott’s culinary team has carefully preserved the recipes that make the food so tasty and meals here so memorable.
Were it not for Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant, Knott’s Berry Farm would not be the beloved, world class theme park it has become over the past 75 years. To entertain the long lines of guests waiting for a seat at his wife, Cordelia’s, popular restaurant, Walter Knott began erecting a collection of modest old west buildings that established the basis of Ghost Town. As Ghost Town looks ahead to its 75th anniversary this summer, the land that celebrates the old west, and the fried chicken that made it all possible resonate with guests as much today as they did in 1941.
